Darr (1993)

Kiran is in love with Sunil and they both plan to get married soon. However Kiran has had an admirer in college that she knows nothing about. This is her fellow collegian Rahul who has had a crush on her ever since he has seen her. Kiranbegins to get anonymous calls from Rahul and slowly she and her family gets flustered by them. When Sunil hears of this he is adamant to get hold of the culprit and put him behind bars, but Rahul is always one step ahead of them. One night on Kiran’s birthday, the electricity goes out and Rahul takes this opportunity to get inside her house and wish her personally. But she doesn’t see his face yet. By the time the lights come on again, Rahul has fled. Having had enough of this interference in their lives, Sunil and Kiran decide to get married. This breaks Rahul’s heart and decides to take revenge on Sunil. On their honeymoon, Sunil tricks Rahul into thinking they have gone to Goa but in reality books tickets to Switzerland. One returning back to their house, Rahul has destroyed the walls and furniture by writing Kiran’s name on them. Rahul then kidnaps Kiran and finally she sees his face. He takes on a boat and asks her to marry him but she refuses. In the meantime Sunil comes and shoots him to death. The film is directed and produced by Yash Chopra. The music is composed by Shiv Hari. The star cast includes Sunny Deol,Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher,DalipTahil,Annu Kapoor,Raj Hans and Tanvi Azmi.
