Ek Pal (1986)

A young woman spends her married days in bliss, but soon her husband stops giving her any time and attention. Desperate and lonely she is unable to hold back her emotions. She then levitates towards a younger man who had previously made advances at her. She finds solace and pleasure in his arms. But her marriage is something that is still looming over her head and she needs to make a decision for her future. The film is directed by Kalpana Lajmi and produced by Kalpana Lajmi and Bhupen Hazarika. The music is composed by Bhupen Hazarika and the story is written by Maitreyee Devi and Kalpana Lajmi. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Gulzar. The cinematography is by K K Mahajan and art direction is by Nitish Roy. The star cast includes Naseeruddin Shah, Farooque Sheikh, Shabana Azmi, Shreeram Lagu, Dina Pathak and Shreela Muzumdar.
