It is 2018 drama film directed by Sridhar Rangayan, produced by Sagar Gupta, Sridhar Rangayan, Karim Ladak and Mohammad Shaikh Hussain. The stars are Mona Ambegaokar (Vasudha), Ananth Mahadevan (Damodar), Devansh Doshi (Kartik), Yamini Singh (Sarita) and Disha Thakur (Neela).
The movie was released on 11th January 2019 only in a few cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Delhi, Bengaluru and Nagpur.
The story is about a small town in South India where people live in a shell and are orthodox and cannot except anything more than what their traditions, Social Morality and rituals have been followed for years, due to which it is difficult to accept something different or go by the modern times.
Kartik (Devansh Doshi) comes to his mother one day to tell her some thing about himself and confides in her that he is a Gay. Though all her dreams are shattered, she supports him but she faces a dilemma as to how to break the news to her very strict and authoritarian husband Damodar (Ananth Mahadevan) as he is the head of the family of Patriarchs, they find it very difficult to talk on this subject which is a taboo and to raise an issues that is not accepted in the society or in front of the elders and the village in general. This movie shows the strong bonding between a mother- son relationship and also the acceptance. It has won 16 international awards.
