Howrah Bridge is an Action-Mystery Crime-Thriller Romantic Family Drama Film crafted with excellence by Shakti Samanta. The Story revolves around the life of Rakesh (played by Ashok Kumar)- A Kind-Hearted man living with his Father and a Brother- Madan- A simple man- who stole his Family Heirloom and cash and ran away to India from Rangoon. Things get complicated- when Madan's body was found dead under Howrah Bridge in Calcutta and Rakesh sets on the path to find the real killer and solve the mystery. He meets with Edna (played by Madhubala)- A Beautiful dancer and gets closer to the truth, leading to consequences.
