I Hate Luv Storys (2010)

I Hate Love Stories is a 2010 Bollywood romcom written and directed by Punit Malhotra, jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and UTV Motion Pictures. The movie was a about a guy who hates everything about the concept of love but is later forced to reconsider his ideas when he falls for a flamboyant girl after major turnarounds. The movie progresses through the perspective of an over the top fun-loving girl in love with the concept love from cheesy Bollywood romcom’s. In comes an assistant director who works mostly in romantic films but is totally against the idea of love. They meet up and gradually she develops feelings for him and proposes but he denies her love stating his nature and sends her away. However later he too starts realizing his love for her but it is already too late as she had said yes to her former boyfriend and is all set for marriage. The duo gets caught up in a daze over their love for each other and predictably the movie ends with them realizing their love after some cheesy, filmy moments. I Hate Love Stories was a hit at its time of release and it garnered unanimous critical acclaim from all corners.
