Indrajeet is film released in 1991 directed by K. V. Raju starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada in the lead roles. The supporting cast is by Kumar Gaurav, Neelam Kothari and Kader Khan with Sadashiv Amrapurkar. A remake of the Kannada film Bandha Muktha of 1987.
Story of a honest police officer Indrajeet whose life turns upside down to get at its worse when he has to arrest Din Dayal , father of his lover Shanti( Jaya Prada) but he gets transferred instead. Years later when a retired Indrajeet is arranging the wedding of his daughter Neelu( Neelam Kothari) with Vijay( Kumar Gaurav), the newly married couple get killed by Shanti’s gangster brother and his friends .The police take no heed and no action with a fear. Indrajeet left with no choice for justice, then decides to take the law in his hands and avenge the death of his adopted daughter’s death.
