Sita is a loving and dedicated wife to her police officer husband Jwala Singh. She herself is a qualified doctor. They have a one year old son. Jwala is transferred to an area of dreaded dacoits and one of them is Maherban Singh. He is ordered to arrest him dead or alive. Meanwhile Maherban’s wife is in labor and about to give birth any moment. He desperately seeks a doctor and then comes to know that Sita is the only lady doctor in the area. He kidnaps her and asks her to do the delivery. That’s when he realizes she is Jwala Singh’s wife. She agrees to do the deliver on the condition that Maherban surrenders to her husband. Maherban agrees and the baby is born. Sadly his wife dies in child birth and his son is handed over in Sita’s care. Jwala and his mother misunderstand and throw Sita out of the house. Soon Maherban’s son has grown up and is named Vijay. He is a tough and honest police officer. He incidentally works as a subordinate to Jwala Singh. The film is directed by Shyam Rahlan and produced by Ratan Mohan. The music is composed by Pyarelal and Laxmikant Kudalkar. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Danny Denzongpa, Reena Roy, Nutan, Raj Kiran, Kader Khan, Pran, Om Shiv Puri, Vijayendra and Kajal Kiran.
