"Kaadhale Nimmadhi" (1998) director Indhran’s a romantic film. It features Suriya, Murali, Sangeetha and Jeevitha Sharma. The film follows Kavitha, the daughter of a goon, as she prepares to marry the shy, soft-spoken Chandramohan. All is fine until her overprotective brother, after wrongly assuming that she is dating Chandru, an archaeologist she has only just met, leads to a series of misunderstandings that disrupt the harmony of the family.
Kavitha (Jeevitha), a cheerful young woman from a large, traditional family, is getting married to a good-hearted lawyer named Chandramohan (Murali). She meets Chandru (Suriya), a photographer taking pictures of the surrounding monuments, while she is having fun with a toddler. The whole family rallies against Kavitha, refusing to accept her innocence despite her entreaties, after her protective brother (Nassar) lashes out at Chandru, mistaking their exchange for a covert affair.
Her family charges Chandru with kidnapping Kavitha after she suddenly disappears, resulting in his arrest. While Kavitha does eventually lay bare her true intentions, we only see the truth come out after Chandramohan steps in to protect Chandru. Chandramohan, touched by the authenticity of their relationship, pressures Kavitha’s family to let her marry Chandru. The family, realising their mistake, finally agrees and compassionate resolution once they accept their mistake.
