"Kaaki Sattai" (2015) is a Tamil action comedy film written and directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar. The cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Sri Divya, Prabhu, and Vijay Raaz. The movie is about a police constable who decides to establish himself as an actual cop by confronting corruption and taking on a powerful organ trade racket.

Mathimaran (Sivakarthikeyan) is a police constable who is frustrated serving under a lazy and cowardly inspector, Sathyamurthy (Prabhu). Although he wants to do something good in the police force, he is stopped by the wrong system. Mathimaran gets infatuated with Divya (Sri Divya), a nurse, and conceals his job from her, as her family members detest policemen. At the same time, he stumbles upon an unlawful organ trade scam operated by a politician, Durai Arasan (Vijay Raaz), and a hospital chairman, Dr. Devasagayam (Yog Japee). Migrant workers are made brain-dead through carbon monoxide, and their organs are sold for profit. After Sathyamurthy and Durai’s father, Singaperumal, die in a bomb blast, Mathimaran decides to go after the criminals responsible.

He first confronts Devasagayam, who commits suicide but leaves behind key information about the scam. Mathimaran tries to collect more proof against Durai but is soon suspended after Durai influences top officers. Even without police support, Mathimaran exposes the racket to the media, but Durai escapes punishment. In the end, Mathimaran takes matters into his own hands. He ambushes Durai during a public event, injures him, and gives him the same treatment used on the innocent victims. His death is portrayed as a terrorist attack. Mathimaran is eventually promoted and married to Divya with the consent of her family.

"Kaaki Sattai" mixes action, comedy, and social awareness in a fascinating way. Sivakarthikeyan performs well in a more serious role, showing improvement from a fun-loving cop to a determined champion of justice. The film has a gritty pace, tackles a serious issue, and offers good entertainment with a message.
