Kahani Phoolvati Ki (1985)

Phoolan lives a happy-go-lucky life until she is married at the tender age of 11 to a boy twice her age. She is forced into the marriage and does not know how to be his wife. As she is unable to satisfy her husband sexually, she is humiliated and sent back home. She is then forced into marrying a crippled man. She then meets her former husband who is re-married and torturing her. Phoolan then meets a young dacoit named Vikram who she helps. When the evil Thakur has designs on her, Vikram rescues her but he is sadly killed. Phoolan then becomes a dacoit herself and takes revenge for all the wrong done to her. The film is directed by Ashok Roy and produced by Geeta Roy. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Suresh Oberoi, Reeta Bhaduri, Abhijeet Sen, Joy Mukherji and Padma Khanna.
