LIK Love Insurance Kompany

Love Insurance Kompany, also known as LIK, is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language science fiction romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah, and Krithi Shetty in lead roles, supported by a vibrant ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Gouri G. Kishan, Mysskin, Seeman, Anandaraj, Sunil Reddy, and Shah Ra. Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio collaborated on its production, and Anirudh Ravichander wrote the music. This genre-bending film promises a unique cinematic experience from director Vignesh Shivan, who is known for combining unusual themes with deep emotional depth.

The story follows a young man who uses a futuristic mobile device to travel back in time to 2035. He is in search of love in 2035 because he is unable to find love in the present. It is a story about love in a high-tech, high-speed world, with reflections on both love and how technology can alter the way we connect. The film hopes to explore how the concept of relationships has evolved in the world of the digital age, with the use of comedy, science fiction elements and touching moments and transitions.

Pradeep Ranganathan plays the lead role, a socially awkward, tech-savvy romantic with a very earnest goal. Expected to play the role of mentor-like or comedic antagonist with trademark eccentricity is S. J. Suryah. Krithi Shetty plays the romantic lead from the future and adds emotional balance to the film's love story. An active supporting cast adds both comedic, and dramatic depth to the story.

Love Insurance Kompany will release in theatres on December 19, 2025. The film was initially announced in 2019 with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead and Lyca Productions in support, but was shelved over budget issues. Revived in 2023 with Pradeep Ranganathan as author and director, the first look and announcement sparked interest in the film with its blend of genres.
