M4M: Motive for Murder (2025) is a gripping Telugu suspense thriller helmed by Mohan Vadlapatla. The film features Sambeet Acharya, Jo Sharma, and Subhalekha Sudhakar in key roles. It tells the story of ACP Krishna, a razor-sharp investigator, who teams up with journalist Radha to catch a serial killer commissioning murders staged as paintings in Hyderabad. The hunt for evidence goes on with every cryptic clue they unfurl. The case involves a student and her principal, which leads the pair to a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Hyderabad continues to be the centre for a perturbing series of murders staged as world-famous paintings lost in time. Each crime scene appears to be a bulky parody and an extensive, terrible art project, disturbing those ones see this happen. At that point, the case is given to ACP Krishna (Sambeet Acharya), an investigative officer, immediately joined by a courageous crime journalist Radha (Jo Sharma), who will find the truth behind the capture of the case.

As the two begin to investigate, they team up to untangle the mess of connections focused on a college student, Rithika and her principal, Janu, both of whose motives might connect to the killer. The killer begins a response to authorities by creating robotic voice messages taunting their impotence in an insane mind game with both Krishna and Radha realising every movement is essential. Their journey becomes a race against time, as each staged “masterpiece” brings them closer to either cracking the case or becoming the next subjects of the killer’s art.

M4M premiered on May 17, 2025, at the Cannes Film Festival before heading to theatres, where it was received very well as people found it unique and praised the performances. After its theatrical release, people commended its spell-binding story and looks. Audiences should see the film for originality in the thriller genre, global acclaim, and for its dramatic vision of art, crime and all the ensuing ramifications.
