“Market Raja MBBS” is a 2019 Tamil action drama, produced by Saran, who wrote and directed the movie. The film combines action, elements of the supernatural, and family drama and features Arav, Kavya Thapar, and Radhika Sarathkumar.

“Market Raja” (Arav) is a terrifying don and a feared mob boss. Even his mother, “Sundari Bai” (Radhika), who happens to be a powerful crime lord, is afraid of him. In contrast to his violent ways, he has a peculiar tradition of lighting candles for the souls of those he brutally murders, indicating a constant struggle for inner peace.

Meanwhile, a romance blossoms between “Vani Sri” (Kavya Thapar), a medical student, and her shy but sweet classmate “Chandramohan” (Vihaan). Their ultimate shocking moment is ruined when Chandramohan is mistakenly murdered by the police in a ruthless hunt for criminals.

New shocking information suggests that the spirit of Chandramohan possesses Market Raja’s body, which turns the once kindly brutish gangster into a compassionate gentle softhearted man. This drastic change utterly baffles his gang members, his mother, and the entire empire of crime he has built. As Market Raja gradually transforms into a sweet militant medical student, the people surrounding him don’t know how to cope with his transformation.

To extract the spirit from Market Raja, his allies reach out to a ghost buster by the name of Devadarshini, who agrees to take the challenge. Meanwhile, Market Raja is engaged in a struggle within himself.

With a mix of action, comedy, and supernatural twists, “Market Raja MBBS” delivers an unconventional gangster story where power and violence collide with spirituality and redemption.
