Synopsis

“Oh My Kadavule” is a 2020 Tamil romantic fantasy film written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who is directing his first. Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan, and Vijay Sethupathi play vital roles in it. The story hit all right with the public, and on its basis a Telugu adaptation Ori Devuda was released soon. The movie tells the story of “Arjun”, played by Ashok Selvan, who turns out to be a very irresponsible fellow and ends up marrying his childhood best friend “Anu” (Ritika Singh) owing to mere convenience. Their life, however, soon turns into disaster because Arjun realizes he never loved her actually. The relationship between them just gets worse when Arjun goes on to feel repentant. He then started thinking about his life if it had been another way. Just when everything seems hopeless, Arjun is given a magical second chance. He meets “God” (Vijay Sethupathi) and his assistant, who offer him a golden ticket to rewrite his fate. With this divine intervention, Arjun goes back in time and makes a different choice-this time, he does not marry Anu and instead pursues his dream job while falling for Meera (Vani Bhojan), a woman he admires. As Arjun breathed in the air of his new life, he soon realized that destiny can never be escaped. Slowly and gradually, he learned the worth of relationships and love. Though he had his second chance, an emptiness haunted him. He began to miss Anu. Arjun once again turns up at the time slot the day of divorce hearing with Anu. He finally realizes his feelings and makes a proper decision. This film combines romance, comedy, and fantasy to give viewers an interesting storyline about love, fate, and self. Currently available to stream on Zee5 and Amazon Prime Video, “Oh My Kadavule” continues to be one of the movies to watch for fans of feel-good love stories.
