One Not Five Minuttess

“One Not Five Minuttess” (105) is a 2024 Telugu horror thriller movie directed by and written by Raju Dussa and starring Hansika Motwani as the sole actor. The film revolves around “Jaanu”, a young woman who returns home on a rain-drenched night, but gets trapped in a gruesome experience.

When she reaches home, she senses an eerie presence behind her. A blackout settles over her house, and there are eerie sounds around her. Suddenly, a mysterious power attacks her, binding her up in iron chains and torturing her. The mysterious male voice accuses her of killing him, and she is left stunned and bewildered. Every attempt to escape is thwarted by the supernatural power that is reluctant to let her go. With no one coming to her aid, Jaanu will have to solve the mystery of the revengeful spirit and battle for her survival.

The movie is an experimental one, dependent only on the performance of Hansika Motwani to drive the plot. Director Raju Dussa dares to attempt suspense with a single character in a small room. The idea is innovative, but it fails to sustain interest in its execution. Lack of a good story and interesting scenes makes it difficult to hold the audience's interest throughout the length. Although “One Not Five Minuttess” is an experimental work, it does not deliver an immersive thriller experience.
