The film is based on the true story of IPS officer Abhayanand who teaches children in preparation for their IIT-JEE exams in a remote village in Bihar, affected by the Naxal revolution. The story of the film revolves around a hard working honest rickshaw driver in Jharkhand, who wants his son to get the best education by enrolling him in a private English medium school. He struggles day and night to make ends meet and save enough so his dreams can come true. But little does he know it will not be so simple to achieve his goals.
The film is directed, produced and written by Prakash Jha. The music is composed by Advait Nemlekar. The star cast includes Adil Hussain, Priyanka Bose, Sanjay Suri, Shourya Deep and Shubham Jha. The cinematography is by Sachin Krishn.
