Quotation Gang (2023)

“Quotation Gang" is a crime thriller film by Vivek K Kannan, featuring Jackie Shroff, Sunny Leone, Akshaya, and Sara Arjun. “Priyamani” is the fearless contract killer who works for gang boss “Jackie Sherpa”. Brute and ruthless, she is highly efficient in committing violent killings for hire, but she has a soft spot beneath her harsh exterior. This is a unique characteristic, and it gets her deeply into trouble, sending her life topsy-turvy and dragging people around her into chaos. As Priyamani ventures into the deadly underworld, power struggles and betrayals start surfacing within the gang. Her loyalty to Jackie Sherpa is questioned as she battles not just survival, but taking control of her own life. A twist of fate forces her to re-evaluate her past decisions and question whether or not she can escape the cycle of violence into which she has been trapped. Priyamani gives a daring performance, completely getting into the skin of a ruthless assassin. She goes over the top, playing an uncouth killer with raw intensity. Jackie Shroff, Sara Arjun, and Akshaya lend depth to the story, though the dark cinematography of the film tends to conceal their expressions and performances. Although the background score and music by Drums Sivamani injects tension, one is too much under dim-lit night shootings to pay equal attention to what's going on visually. But "Quotation Gang" delivers an intriguing crime thriller brimming with action, drama, and fine leading performance.
