Raees( means rich)is an action crime film directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sadhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The star cast includes Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan, a Pakistani actress in the lead roles and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a pivotal role. It is based on a criminal Abdul Latif’s life . It was a commercial success and a hit film at the box office. The film is shot in Mumbai . The story is about illegal alcohol in Gujarat state where it is banned and is smuggled into the city. The film was released on 25th January 2017 and was rated with 2 stars out of 5 stars. Ankita Shorey was the first choice for the leading lady but Mahira got the role as the protagonist.
