Rahuls Arranged Marriage (2005)

Rahul, played by Sumeet Mathur, is a young and self-made man. He is looking for much more to life than just get settled and have kids as his father envisions for him. His father even goes as far as selecting a bride for Rahul. The bride in question is his closest friend Mr. Kapoor’s daughter Ishaa, played by Devika Mathur. He is irritated with the idea that he has to go and see the girl and then decide if he wants to marry her or not. The whole idea is a big joke to Rahul and he refuses to go ahead with such medieval traditions of his parents. After a lot of convincing and coaxing, Rahul finally gives in to their wishes one last time and goes to meet Ishaa at her house. Rahul is flabbergasted at seeing Ishaa and out of words and breath. He didn’t realize he would actually fall in love with Ishaa. They begin to talk and share their personal live experiences and Rahul is blown away by how much he has in common with Ishaa. This is not what he expected at all. The movie is written, directed and produced by Anant Mathur. The cinematography is by Anant Mathur. The star cast includes Jyoti Rana, Abhishek Mathur, Amar Kumar, Anurag Mathur and Anita Mathur.
