Satsang

Satsang is one of the upcoming movies of the drama genre. This new film’s story follows. Vijay, a respected civil servant, whose life is tilted as he is drawn into a bottom-up spiritual movement that seeks to cleanse public life of corruption. After learning first-hand what a corrupt local representative had done to his small-town community, Vijay becomes disillusioned with a system he faithfully served. When he meets Meera, the charismatic manager of public satsangs, it rekindles his moral purpose. 

The public satsangs are gatherings where ordinary citizens bring forward issues of injustice to growing crowd of onlookers to witness, challenging the individual to rise and unite, confronting the unethical powers that be. 

Deeply impacted by the impact on his community, he witnesses the Satsangs, Vijay joins the movement as a silent supporter, leveraging his role to quietly surface unethical acts while learning about courage by collective action; by being a participant in the public satsangs. As the satsang receives growing attention from the national media, the movement is to discredit it for causing public hysteria. In her compassionate yet adamant attempts to remain peaceful, Meera finds herself at odds with a growing anxiety. Vijay is precariously placed, tangled within his obligations in government and adherence to the values of the movement.  

Conflicted, he uses official records to leak evidence of bribery, but when that backfires, his own integrity is called into question. Public sentiment divides, some accuse him of sedition, others hail him as a moral hero. 

The conflict peaks when Vijay must decide whether to resign his post and stand publicly with the satsang or protect his family and career. The film ends on an open note: Vijay addresses a vast gathering, silently signalling his choice. Satsang is one of the upcoming movie releases that are a socially charged drama about faith, civic responsibility, and the power of community-driven reform, placing Ajay Devgn’s character at the centre of a collision between conscience and bureaucracy.
