“Server Sundaram” is an unreleased Tamil-language comedy film written and directed by Anand Balki and produced by J. Selvakumar. Santhanam leads, with Vaibhavi Shandilya supporting him.

There is “Sundaram”, an ardent and diligent waiter in an extremely busy restaurant. He very much takes his work seriously and aims for something greater in life. He works and toils his ways through relentlessly , but all this results in him being treated with no respect from the owner’s daughter of the restaurant whom he secretly likes.

One day, fate takes an unexpected turn when Sundaram gets an opportunity to become an actor. Determined to prove himself and win the heart of the woman he loves. However, his journey is not all smooth sailing. He faces numerous obstacles, from adapting to the film industry to dealing with people who try to bring him down.

It also had many issues with Sundaram’s dedication and acumen against these obstacles in life. Sundaram, moving from being an ordinary waiter, has to see a dream pursued; this shapes the entire theme of the story. The movie is fun, inspiring comedy and romance wrapped into an underdog story.

“Server Sundaram” was made in 2016 and is still not released due to distribution problems. Though it was made for theatrical release, the repeated delays have raised doubts over the film’s status. The director has blamed distributor’s poor handling for its indefinite status and fans are eager to see this film on screens.
