Kiran is a bright student of National college in Bombay. She lives a wealthy life with her father Hardayal and mom Maya. Their life is seemingly peaceful until one day she has an argument with professor Prakash. Soon it gets resolved and things get back to normal until intimate picture of the two surface on the college notice board. This sandal has a far reaching effect on the future of both Kiran and Prakash as the latter gets dismissed from his job while Kiran’s wedding gets cancelled. Her father comes to meet Prakash and requests him to marry his daughter to put an end to these terrible speculations. Soon Kiran and Prakash get married and he also gets a well paying job as a manager in a bog company. Things however take a turn for the worse when Prakash is said to be having an affair with his secretary and also having killed Kiran’s college
friend Shakti. The film is directed by Shibu Mitra and produced by S K Kapoor. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Ashok Kumar, Vinod Mehra, Rati Agnihotri, Chand Usmani, Rajan Haksar and Arpana Chaudhry.
