Veere Di Wedding a 2018 female protagonist comedy film directed by Shashanka Ghosh and is co produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi.
Starring Kareena Kapoor in the lead role along with Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talasnia as the prominent characters. The film on the four friends who go to Thailand is an upbeat coming of age story revolving around a woman who wants to get married and her friends want her to rediscover life, that revolves around their childhood lives. Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor), Avni (Sonam Kapoor), Meera (Shikha Talasania) and Sakshi (Swara Bhaskar) the four best friends meet ten years later to reunite and don’t realise how much life has changed from what their expectations were.
The film is set on the backdrop of Delhi where the girls were born and raised on the family acceptance to the modern day world, their tribulations and trials of growing up with social norms and perceptions.
