Zakhmi Aurat (1988)

A tough and honest lady police officer gets into the bad books of some bad guys, when she interferes with their illegal trades. The men one day storm into her house and brutally rape her. She is left for dead and the men go on about their business. The officer decides to file a police complaint but she is denied justice as the evidence is tampered with. When she completely looses her faith in the judiciary system, she decides to take matters in her own hands and unites all the wronged women to trap the rapists and castrate them. The film is directed by Avtar Bhogal and produced by Ashok Punjabi. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the story is written by Avtar Bhogal. The screenplay is written by Iqbal Durrani and the cinematography is by Anil Sehgal. The star cast includes Raj Babbar, Anupam Kher, Dimple Kapadia, Roopesh Kumar, Puneet Issar, Tej Sapru, Om Shivpuri, Rama Vij,Shiv, Sandeep Seth, Avtar Gill, Mangal Dhillon, Raj Babbar, Aruna Irani, Beena and Kalpana Iyer.
