98 Year Old Film Historian Vijaya Mulay Passes Away

Known for her animated short film ‘Ek Anek Aur Ekta’ on Doordarshan in 1974, filmmaker Vijaya Mulay passed away peacefully on Sunday. Her 7 minute short film also won her the National Award for Best Educational Film. She established the Delhi Film Society in the year 1959.

 

 

Vijaya Mulay was also the joint secretary of the Federation of Film Societies. The filmmaker’s daughter Suhasini Mulay said that her mother didn’t have any old person’s illnesses and was in no pain. She died of old age and weakness as she had started eating less.
