Border 2 which is getting a lot of acclaim from the audience as it did a blockbuster at the box office,  it was truly a memorable weekend for the Deols as Dharmendra who passed away in November last year was conferred with the Padma Vibhushan Awards. 

Dharmendra was one of the most celebrated actors in the history of Hindi Cinema . He had been awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2012. 

Esha Deol reacts to Father Dharmendra’s Padma Vibhushan Award. 

Esha Deol expressed her pride and joy as her father ,the legendary actor Dharmendra who was honored with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan Award . 

Further to her post Esha also mentioned her elder brother Sunny Deol’s performance in Border 2 and coaxed in her post that Border 2 is definitely a watch.  Standing alongside of her elder brother Sunny Deol, the Deol sisters Esha and Ahana posed with him at the screen of his Border 2.  They shared smiles . The picture marked their first public appearance after their father veteran actor Dharmendra passed away last November.

On the eve of the Republic Day, the Ministry of Home Affairs unveiled the Padma Awardees of 2026. The prestigious civilian honor was bestowed to individuals for their long-term contribution to the society. They were from diverse fields which included arts, literature, social service, medicine, education and public services. 

The family is proud that the Government had recognized Dharmendra’s immense contribution to the film industry by awarding him the prestigious Padma Vibhushan Award.

Dharmendra was one of the most iconic actors of his time . He had made a mark in the Hindi cinema with his memorable performances in Seeta Aur Geeta, Chupke Chupke,  Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Anupama to name a few. He was not only known for his versatility on screen but also his great contribution to the film industry for inspiring millions of fans worldwide.
