Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be the chief guest at the 16th IFFM from 14-24 August 2025.
The festival will pay tribute to Khan with a retrospective of his four-decade-long career, emphasizing his socially conscious storytelling and compelling acting.
Already a festival highlight will be the screening of his new film, Sitaare Zameen Par. Post screening, we have an in-conversation panel with Aamir Khan, the director of R.S. Prasanna and Aamir Khan films CEO Aparna Purohit.
The panel aims to explore the film’s vision and creative choices, with a focus on a basketball coach working with neurodivergent adults.
Aamir Khan thanked them for invitation, said he was humbled and excited to connect with the audience in Melbourne. He emphasized cinema’s ability to spark dialogue and cultivate compassion.
