Actor-director Prasad Oak, who is already making headlines for his role in the film 'Dharamveer', has announced the title of his upcoming Marathi film 'Parinirvaan' starring Shailendra Krishna Bagde.
'Parinirvaan' based on Babasaheb Ambedkar's Mahaparinirvaan Diwas will soon hit the screens. The film is not based on Babasaheb but on a man who captured his Mahaparinirvan day on his camera.
Prasad Oak is all set to replace Namdev Vatkar, who captured the picture of the day. Renowned writer, musician, efficient administrator, scholar of folk art, progressive farmer, freedom fighter and conscious legislator.
Speaking about his role, Prasad Oak said, "When a film comes to me, before I see my role, I see what the film is about, then I see what my character is doing in that film. Listening to the script of this film, from the very first page, one could feel the desire to do something different. I consider it my luck that I get to play the role of Namdev Bhatkar. Namdev Bhatkar was a versatile personality."
"His journey on every path was extremely difficult and the author has woven it beautifully. How will it take me to achieve that beauty and ease? Moksha is attained after 'Parinirvaan'. But for that one has to die. But I am going to get to live life. If we can make this artwork well, the audience and we too will get the salvation of satisfaction.'' Prasad concluded.
