Ranveer Singh ends the Don 3’ Rift—₹10 Crore Returned with a new deal offered. It is believed that Ranveer Singh has agreed to return the signing amount of Rs. 10 crore to Excel Entertainment and not just return the amount but the actor has also offered the production house a stake in his upcoming film. Thus resolving the dispute with the filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and the producer Ritesh Sidhwani post his exit from Don 3.
Tentatively the new film "Pralay" which is his upcoming film, Ranveer Singh has offered a stake as a goodwill gesture to settle the matter. However, no official confirmation has been issued by both the parties.
The controversy began when Ranveer Singh stepped out of Don 3, who had first decided to be a part of the Don 3 and took the signing amount for the Don 3 Franchise but had decided to step away. The makers had not taken it well. Ranveer Singh had stated allegedly that it was due to the dissatisfaction of the script that made him take the decision. and the film's planning that didn't suit him. In response the makers had demanded Rs. 40 crore as compensation citing losses in their pre production and their schedules that depended on Ranveer Singh's presence and his dates.
The matter had further escalated when the Producers Guild of India had to step in for mediating between Ranveer Singh and the makers to bring about an amicable solution. Rumors are that Aamir Khan acted as the mediator and surfaced briefly to help them sort out but the superstar Aamir Khan has denied this as a rumor.stating that he was not involved.
However, as of now there is no official update from the makers of Don 3 so it still hangs in the uncertainty. Speculations are that Farhan Akhtar may himself step into the pivotal iconic role. This has kept the fans intrigued about one of their most favourite and much loved Don franchise.
