The Lipstick Under My Burkha actress was travelling on some work commitments from shima to Amritsar in a cab when the harrowing incident happened. The cab driver who was sent through MakeMy Trip wouldn’t let Kumra leave till she paid the outstanding fare amount. However, the ’The Accidental Prime Minister’ actress says she already paid the entire fees to the company directly but the driver wouldn’t budge.
After hours of pleading with the driver the actress somehow reached her destination safely but has been scarred with a horrifying experience which she shared with the public and her friends through a series of tweets. She even claims the travel company has simply said “We regret the inconvenience caused” and offered a refund, which is not acceptable to her.
On hearing her ordeal, her friends, producer of Katti Batti Nikhil Advani and politician Aditya Thackeray called her up to check on her well-being.
Interestingly people who were reading her tweets were tagging Alia Bhatt and Ranveer singh who are the brand ambassadors for MakeMyTrip. But Kumra doesn’t blame the Gully boy actors as they had nothing to do with this nightmare.
