Wheel of Fortune India is set to return with its season second with actor Akshay Kumar to continue to be the host the upcoming new season.

The show premiered on January 27th 2026 and was one of the major realities shows to have launched this year.  The Indian version of the famous American show Wheel of Fortune which first began in 1975 and went on to become the longest running television formats in the world.  


While the original version ran over for 43 seasons and has earned the global recognition, the Indian adaptation founds its own audience sooner and viewers responded well to the format.  But many believe it is Akshay Kumar’s presence on the show that gave its biggest push to make it a successful reality show. 


Akshay Kumar with his style has a host has won many hearts. 


His style of not just in acting but also as a host has won him applauds for his instant and natural humour, adding warmth to the format.  He is at ease, relaxed and spontaneous that helped the show with family audience and its contestants have also been comfortable around him.  


The steady growing TRPs throughout the season reportedly have convinced the channel to move ahead with the new edition. 


For the actor, it marked his return to the game shows for which he is already very popular. With his experience as a host of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi doing extremely well. he is still remembered by his fans especially because he brought his action star personality to the screen. He has earlier also hosted the MasterChef India.

About the second season, the channel wants to keep building the new Wheel of Fortune India with Akshay being the centre point for now it suggests he will spin around the wheel towards victory again.
