Alia floored the audience and won their hearts to melt at her graceful greetings, ‘Namaskar’ . She created the iconic moment that won her an applause both at the ceremony as well across the social media. 

Alia Bhatt as invited to announce the winner in the ‘Film Not IN the English Language’ category. She highlighted how cinema outdid borders and the language barriers. Opening her speech in Hindi, she said, ‘Namaskar’ Agla Award Ek aise film…. followed by her playfully continuing in English. She said, ‘Don’t reach for the subtitles just yet’ she emphasised further that the films will speak countless voices but the true universal language is the cinema by itself. 

The prestigious categories featured the much-acclaimed international titles such as the films, it was Just an Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, Sirat and The Voice of Hind Rajab. The film Sentimental Value took home the honour.

At the red carpet, Alia Bhatt revealed that her three-year-old daughter Raha is currently her biggest inspiration. Reflecting on her motherhood, Alia expressed that being a mother to Raha has been one of the most fulfilling experiences and that watching Raha dances to her songs feels like a pure magic. She called Raha’s birth and being with her is the most beautiful part of her life. 

For the evening Alia dazzled everyone at the grand evening wearing a custom Gucci silver sequined gown which she had styled with a white fur stole, sleek hair in place with a soft nude subtle make up. A look that perfectly balanced with the glamour and her gracefulness.
