Alia Bhatt to learn Kathiawadi dialect for her next

After the ambitious project, Inshallah starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt was shelved, fans were disappointed but the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali promised his fans he will come back with something even better. And being true to his word, he will be making the movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia. The Padmaavat director is now on the lookout for a tutor who can train the actress in the Kathaiwadi dialect.

 

The film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is based on a lady with the same name, who was known to be brutal and the madam of Kamathipura brothels. She had dreaded gangsters and criminals as her clients and also was involved in drug peddling. The film is based on a chapter from the novel of Husain Zaidi called ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’. The film will hit the big screens on 11th September 2020.
