Amazon Prime Video To Offer 41 New Titles In Content Ranging From Romance, Thrillers And Action Across Multiple Languages

After entertaining it’s viewers for over half a decade, OTT giant Amazon Prime Video is all set to expand it’s operations in India. At a recently held event in Mumbai, Amazon has announced 41 new titles in films, series and co-productions. The content will range from romance, action, thrillers, among others. It is planning to double it’s investment in the next 5 years in the Indian market. 

 

The original new content on Amazon Prime Video will be in languages like Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The content will also feature established names in the industry as well as new talent to enthrall the audiences. Actors like Shahid Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Naga Chaitanya are some of the actors who will be featured in these projects. After launching its Amazon Prime Channels, the platform is now bringing Prime Video Store, which will bring the latest local as well as international films to it’s viewers on a transactional (per-movie) basis.

In addition to our investments in great content, we are super excited about the launch of our TVOD movie rental service, that will not just give even more expanded reach to these films but also give customers more choice in how they want to access and watch content.”

 

Some of the upcoming titles on the platform include Adhura (Ishwak Singh, Rasika Dugal), Call Ne Bae, Crash Course, Dahaad (Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Verma), Bambai Meri Jaan, Farzi( Shahid Kapoor), Gulkanda Tales (Kunal Kemmu, Patralekhaa), Hush Hush (Juhi Chawla, Shahana Goswami), Neeyat (Vidya Balan), Ram Setu (Akshay Kumar), and many more.
