On April 13th 2026, Ananya Birla’s Birla Studio join hands with Vodafone India Limited in a game changing move for the aspiring actors.  The new launch, ‘Reel Se Real Star’ is the first of its kind mobile acting talent to discover a platform that will aim to transform how talent enters India’s entertainment industry. 

It is India’s first mobile first acting talent discovery platform designed to democratize the entertainment industry by building in new connections. 

The new idea is built on a believe that talent exists everywhere, and this initiative will eliminate the long-standing barriers like location, industry connections, and access.   With just a smartphone, aspiring actors from any corner of the country can now step into the spotlight to showcase their skills and talent. 

Ananya Birla shared her vision, emphasizing on the countless talented individuals who miss and opportunity due to the limited access. She highlighted that this move will reach out to every corner with the convergence of the digital reach and her vision is to open doors at every scale making the industry more inclusive. 

The initiative and the new concept – ‘Reel Se Real Star’

‘Reel Se Real Star’ is about giving everyone an equal chance regardless of the background they come from as it’s a real chance to be seen said Ananya Birla. 

The vast digital network of Vodafone Idea Limited and the creative strength of the Birla Studio together will create this new platform to build one of India’s most diverse acting talent pipelines.  It will further seek to bridge the gap between the raw, undiscovered talent and the mainstream cinema. 

CEO Abhijit Kishore further added the platform brings audition directly into the hands of millions ensuring that geographical limits will not hamper their potential. With access to over 200 million users, this change will set to reach out to the aspiring actors from metro cities and to the most remote villages of India. 

This nationwide program is fully digital for its participation process which will allow the users to upload auditions via the app or the web and no referrals needed.  Participants will not only benefit by the mentorship but also the evaluation is done by renowned directors and creative experts, thus ensuring credibility and professional growth.

The biggest highlight of this new game changing pursuit is that winners will land a breakthrough role in a feature film. They will get an opportunity to work alongside of established filmmakers.
