Veteran actor Anupam Kher was in the capital to celebrate a remarkable milestone on Sunday as he completed 41 years in the Indian film industry. Kher expressed his gratitude with a touching post on Instagram, reminiscing about his big break in Mahesh Bhatt’s hugely influential 1984 film Saaransh. At the age of only 28 years, Kher brought a heart-wrenching performance as an ailing old man, a character that brought him instant recognition as one of the finest emerging actors.




What a beautiful journey it has been... so said actor Anupam Kher, as he thanked his fans, directors, co-stars, and well-wishers who supported him through the decades. He has referred to Saaransh as a watershed moment, referring to it as “a movie that gave me my recognition as an actor.”
