Anupam Kher Quits Season 3 Of New Amsterdam To Take Care Of Wife Kirron Kher

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has been making headlines internationally with the American Medical drama New Amsterdam. The actor plays the role of Dr. Vijay Kapoor in the series which is become quit a hit with the viewers. However the talented actor might not be seen in season 3 due to his wife Kirron Kher’s battle with blood cancer. He recently posted on his social media page, “Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure she will come out of this stronger than before. We are very blessed that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors”. 

 

New Amsterdam is a medical drama that deals with the real life situation of Covid-19 and how doctors are fighting it every day. Anupam Kher is yet to release an official statement about leaving the show but his character will be putting in his papers at the Bellevue hospital.
