Anurag Kashyap’s New Film, ‘Nishaanchi’ Is Different From ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap said his upcoming film, ‘Nishaanchi’, is made differently and is not another ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.
He stressed that ‘Nishaanchi’ is inspired from his own life and his upbringing in Kanpur and Lucknow, while ‘Gangs of Wasseypur was a crime saga from the stories he had heard.

The trailer of ‘Nishaanchi’ was unveiled and since then has been a buzz on social media, comparing it with Anurag’s earlier film, ‘ Gangs of Wasseypur’ which had won its popularity for portrayal of gang rivalries spanning across generations.
‘Nishaanchi’ is about the entangled lives of twin brothers Babloo and Dabloo. The film which is set against the backdrop of the Hindi heartland stars debutant Aishvary Thackeray in a double role alongside Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Kumud Mishra and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.
He stated that Nishaanchi brings life to his own memories, ,humour or the language used and music, it's fictional but is joy of language driven by the attitude of that place.
