According to reports , the Indian film Kok Kok Kookkook has been selected in the Vision Asia section of the 30th edition of the Busan International Film Festival. The 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held from September 17 to 26. The film is produced by the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata. It is a magical, realistic horror drama. This film tells the story of the constant struggle to find oneself against the rough backdrop of a picturesque city. The film explores the intense lives of struggling migrants.

Kashyap is known for his unique usage of magical realism and poetic imagination. He was known only as a short filmmaker until now. The Director Is Excited To Get His First Feature Film
He is an alumnus of SRFTI. He made the film as his final research project on the advice of filmmaker Dominic Sangma. Now, getting his first feature film at the international level, the director says that this film is dedicated to the people of Assam. Once, they used to celebrate diversity without hesitation. However, the director fears that times and minds are changing constantly. However, he hopes that this film accurately portrays "my existence and those who struggle for identity every day."
Tuhin Kashyap's Short Films Have Received International Acclaim
Kashyap's short films have already received international acclaim. They have screened at festivals worldwide and won multiple awards. His film Mur Ghurar Duronto Goti (The Horse from Heaven) won 'Best Film' at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival in 2022. The film also qualified for the Oscars. He made it as a student at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. The film uses the Ojapali art form from Assam. Another film by Kashyap, Kaan Phusphusot Phusphusoni (Poetry of Whispers), won Best Student Short Film at the International Moving Film Festival in Iran. It also got third prize at the Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival.
Needless to say, Kashyap's work is giving Assamese and Indian short films more attention on the international stage.
