The Bharat Pavilion was officially inaugurated at the seventy-eighth edition of the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. This marked a significant step in the nation’s evolving global footprint in terms of cinematic brilliance.

As per a report by ANI, various personalities have graced this inauguration, including the classical film filmmaker and IFFI Festival Director Shekhar Kapur, and the veteran actor Anupam Kher, who has collaborated with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) for his upcoming film, ‘Tanvi The Great.’

The launch ceremony featured the most-awaited launch of the IFFI 2025. While explaining the poster’s philosophy, Gautam Bhanot, General Manager of NFDC India, said, ‘IFFI’s new poster clearly reflects the convergence of creativity and technology. India is ready to embrace the technology and take a leading role in global content creation.’


Also, the organisers launched the India Film Guide during the ceremony. This comprehensive resource showcases the nation’s vast filmmaking talent, filming locations, and incentives for international co-productions. Various dignitaries have launched the guide to symbolise India’s openness to global collaborations.
