The release of the upcoming film, ‘Chidiya,’ has been postponed by a week. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on 23rd May, but the film will now be released on 30th May. Its cast includes Vinay Pathak, Svar Kamble, Amruta Subhash and Ayush Pathak.
The makers have scheduled the film to release in cinemas on 23rd May, will now release it on 30th May.
The film’s director, Mehran Amrohi, said he postponed the release by a week to give the film some breathing space, as several other films are releasing on 23rd May. He explained, ‘Chidiya is a quiet, emotional film; its not designed to shout for attention. With multiple films releasing on 23rd May, we decided it would be wiser to give our film a fairer chance by releasing it a week later. We’ve waited almost a decade to bring this story to the theatres, and it deserves discovering'.
The upcoming film, ‘Chidiya, follows the journey of two young brothers, Shanu and Bua, in a Mumbai slum. They dream of playing badminton, and their journey holds joy, friendship, and resilience. With the help of their mother, they transform a junkyard into a lavish badminton court. Moreover, their immense hope and unreal imagination fuel up their effort.
