Palaash Muchhal is set to begin work on his next directorial venture after weeks of intense public scrutiny, the composer turned filmmaker shifted his focus back on to the cinema. His new directorial venture is with Shreyas Talpade headlining the untitled film. 

The upcoming project is set against the backdrop of Mumbai and the bustling of the city. The film is expected to go on floors soon and will be helmed by himself. More details about the casting and the release time are yet to be announced and slated to commence shortly in Mumbai. 

The film will mark Palaash Muchhal’s first professional project. 

The directorial film by Palaash Muchhal will be his first professional project after the cancellation of his wedding with the cricketer Smriti Mandhana which had earlier made the headlines around the month of November 2025.  The couple were dating for nearly five years and were scheduled to get married on 23rd November 2025.  Their pre wedding ceremonies and sangeet, haldi etc were all completed but just one day before, the unverified rumours of infidelity had surfaced online leading to the initial postponement of their marriage to later getting cancelled which both families had confirmed.    

Palaash Muchhal is now set to move forward and putting behind him the personal turbulence in his life with a renewed focus in films and start his creative work once again.  

Talpade to essay the role of a common man in the film.  

While the other star cast is not yet finalised, Shreyas Talpade is said to essay the role of a common man in the upcoming untitled film by Palaash.
