Delhi High Court Rejects Plea Alleging '120 Bahadur' Distorts History.

The Delhi High Court has disposed of the plea filed against Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming war drama 120 Bahadur which is based on the real incidents from the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

Akhtar starrer movie, 120 Bahadur to be released on Friday, 21st November after a clear chit from CBFC certification and the plea has been disposed that had claimed the movie distorts historical facts.

Special tribute to the soldiers in 120 Bahadur.

The Delhi high court passed the order after noting that it was too late to change the name or date of release of the fil and the producers have mentioned the names of the soldiers at the end of the movie giving them a special tribute in the film. A bench of justice held by Pratibha M Singh and Shail Jain have disposed off the petition. However, there is still some ambiguity as to whether the 120 soldier’s names have been mentioned . If not, then correction is required and it should be done on over the top before its release on OTT. The bench also stated the only those names of the soldiers with proper regiment will be mentioned at the end of the movie.

The plea by the family members of many soldiers who died in the battle of Rezang La had earlier challenged the CBFC certificate alleging that the film had stated distorted historical facts and had demanded the change in the name of the film

The film has been approved for its release on Friday in the theatres across the country.
