Diljit Dosanjh To Start Shooting For Amar Singh Chamkila Biopic

Diljit Dosanjh has proved his mettle in every genre of cinema. The 'Punjabi star' also has a Sandeep Singh ('Soorma') biopic lined up. And now once again, Diljit Dosanjh is all set to engage his fans with another biopic based on the life of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila. The biopic was in the news for a long time but no official announcement was made about the much-awaited film. However, recently in a conversation with Film Companion, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he is all set to shoot for Amar Singh Chamkila's biopic.

He said that the shooting will go on floors on 9th December. Also, the work on the music of the film is complete, and it has been composed by the maestro AR Rahman. Diljit Dosanjh is one of the most loved and trending actors in the Punjabi film industry. And recently the actor is making headlines for doing Chamkila's biopic. The project will be a Bollywood film based on the life of Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila and is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. While there was no official announcement for this much awaited and already hyped project, Diljit Dosanjh has confirmed the same. Not only this, but Diljit has also released some official information about the film.

Diljit Dosanjh revealed that the shooting of Chamkila's biopic will begin on 9th December. Also, Diljit revealed that the music of the film has been completed and composed by the legendary A R Rahman. Diljit also revealed how serious the director of the film, Imtiaz Ali, is about the project. He had a meeting with the late folk singer's parents to get all the right details and Diljit was sent a new email every day with details on Chamkila. The release date of the film is still a secret.
