Ram Gopal Varma reviews Satluj.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who saw the film on X also shared his review. He says Satluj is not a film it’s a deep would that would never heal. It is one of the darkest chapters of our history wrote the filmmaker.
It is a cinema of confrontation where Diljit Dosanjh acts with fury with no chest thumping showing off his heroism. He uses just one weapon that is a ledger and his conscience.

Ram Gopal Varma praised the film’s director Honey Trehan and wrote the film showcases the horror unfold instead of sensationalizing. The thriller through bureaucratic films and investigation is a slow burn, hushed conversations and cremation records. The overall restraint makes the brutality in the film as the subject matter which not only hits harder than ever before but it explodes the force of truth not the exploitation. He requested the censor board not to censor the film.
