South Superstars Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif will share screen space for the first time in Merry Christmas. The director said that he has not made anything like this before. The director revealed that his film is based on love and passion. Talking about his bilingual film, he said, "The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, so we thought of making a Tamil version as well. He added that in the Tamil version, both the lead roles are the same but there are new actors in it. He added , "It is the same film, but it has its own differences."
