Vishesh Films have announced the completion of the principal photography for Awarapan 2, which is now ready to move to the next phase and bring back the intense and emotional memories of Shivam. The film will mark the return of actor Emraan Hashmi in one of his most loved roles after nearly two decades. The original Awarapan had created a lasting impression and impact on the audience.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 has been shot extensively across Rajasthan and adding several stunning locations in South East Africa. The makers have aimed at a worldwide theatrical release on August 14th 2026 and encashing on the Indian Independence Day.
Emraan Hashmi will be first time seen opposite Disha Patel in the sequel. The screenplay is penned by Bilal Siddiqui and the film is expected to be charged with gripping cinematic experience for his fans and the audience.
Awarapan originally was released in 2007 and directed by Mohit Suri. The movie went on to achieve a cult status over the years for its soulful music, emotional storytelling and Emraan Hashmi’s dynamic and memorable performance is still remembered by his fans who are now eagerly waiting to see Shivam’s story move forward on the big screen once again.
