Esha Deol Admits The Deol Family Lacks Publicity Skills
The Deol family is enjoying a resurgence of popularity lately. Esha Deol recently received special recognition for her short film, "Ek Duaa," at the 69th National Film Awards, leaving her ecstatic. Her father, the iconic actor Dharmendra, has been winning hearts with his role in Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani." Not to be outdone, Esha's brother Sunny Deol's latest film, "Gadar 2" has already become a historic blockbuster. Despite the wave of success, Esha conceded that the Deol clan has never excelled in the publicity game.
Recently, Esha Deol opened up about the Deol family's somewhat low-key approach to publicity, despite their widespread acclaim. When asked if the Deols are not particularly skilled in the publicity arena, Esha concurred, saying that while she's not entirely sure why, the family tends to be more reserved and private. "Yes, for some reason most of us have turned out that way. It's less about being shy and more about having a reserved, private nature," she elaborated.
Esha Deol went on to express her confusion about the expectations for celebrities to maintain a constant public presence. "Sometimes, I just don't get that you're supposed to do specific things to stay in the public eye. It's hard for me to grasp," she said. Esha admitted that she's not the type to post trivial updates on social media, like a picture of a coffee cup. "Whenever I do something like that, which is rare, I end up laughing at myself, wondering 'What have I posted?' If it's something meaningful, then I believe it's worth sharing," she added.
When asked about her father Dharmendra's response to her film "Ek Duaa" receiving a special mention at the 69th National Film Awards, Esha Deol revealed, "He becomes very emotional. For me, the moment he pats me on the back, it feels like heaven."
Most recently, Esha Deol appeared in the web series "Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega," sharing the screen with Suniel Shetty. Prior to that, she was featured in the crime thriller series "Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness," alongside Ajay Devgn and Raashii Khanna.
