Famous Art Director Nitin Desai Has Committed Suicide By Hanging Himself In His Studio

1942 A Love Story Nitin Desai, art director of films like 'Swades', 'Khakee',  'Lagaan', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', and 'Devdas', was found hanging at his ND Studio. After this it is feared that he has committed suicide.

Nitin Desai started his career with serials like Tamas and Chanakya  and he was first noticed for his work in '1942 A Love Story'. Nitin Desai has also won four National Film Awards for Art Direction.

Nitin Desai was a famous art director as well as producer, director and actor. Nitin Desai was a big name in Marathi and Hindi cinema. After meeting Nitin Desai's body in the studio, the staff there informed the police. Now the police is taking further action accordingly. If Nitin Desai has committed suicide, then the reason behind it has not been revealed yet.

According to reports, he was in the studio till two days before the suicide. Till yesterday, he had also informed his team about the upcoming project, but since this morning he did not pick up anyone's call, so the staff informed the officials of ND Studio. He then broke open the door and informed the police.

Won the National Award four times

Nitin Desai was also awarded the National Award four times as the Best Art Director. In a career spanning two decades, Nitin Desai worked with many well-known filmmakers of Bollywood, including big names like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Ashutosh Gowariker.
