Being an Indian and not having heard of Mohammed Rafi, is almost absurd! The latter was one of the most celebrated and successful singers of Indian cinema with a velvety voice that exuded magic in every song he sang. His grandson Fuzail Rafi is now taking his unmatched legacy forward by starting an online music institute in his name. Talking about his dream project the youngster shared, “I am blessed that it has taken shape and is finally coming to fruition with an amazing dedicated team brainstorming and working on this project. Each day passes with a tribute and a prayer towards my dada abba, Mohammed Rafi saab; without his blessings, it would not have been possible.”

Talking about his resemblance to his talented late grandfather Fuzail reminisces, “When I was a kid, a fan touched my feet, I got startled and pushed him back. It was only later that I realised that he was doing it out of sheer love and respect for my dada abba. My mom has told me of his generosity, kindness, humbleness, and remarkable personality. I hope and pray that I am guided to walk in his footsteps not just by resembling him in looks but also in personality and character.” Some of the evergreen Mohammed Rafi songs include ‘Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe’, ‘Ehsan Tera Hoga Mujhpar’, ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar’, ‘Badanpe Sitare Lapete Hue’, ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada’ and many many more.
